Hi dear reader, my name is Diana, and I was born in 2001.
Let me share a little bit of my story with you.
During my school years in Kyrgyzstan, I didn’t truly appreciate my country. At the time, many things felt simple and provincial to me, and I believed that becoming more “cultured” meant looking toward Europe and building my future somewhere outside of Kyrgyzstan. I was convinced that my life would continue far from home.
After graduating from school, I felt lost and uncertain about what to do next. There was a sense of inner dissonance — I didn’t quite know who I was or where I belonged. Then one day, a friend invited me to visit Ala-Archa National Park, located just 30–40 kilometers from Bishkek. That trip changed everything.
I started traveling more around Kyrgyzstan and slowly discovered how rich my country is — in nature, culture, and history. I saw breathtaking mountains, endless landscapes, vibrant bazaars, and traditions that carry deep meaning. Step by step, I fell in love with my homeland.
Inspired by this new perspective, I began learning English and in 2019 started working as a guide. Over the years, I gained experience sharing Kyrgyzstan with travelers from all over the world. In 2025, together with a hostel network, I co-founded a travel company in Kyrgyzstan.
Now, my goal is to share the beauty of my homeland with you. Through this page, I want to show you the real Kyrgyzstan — its landscapes, its people, its spirit. It would truly mean a lot to me if the information and stories I share here inspire you or help you discover something new.
